His first novel, \u003ci\u003eThe Windy Season\u003c\/i\u003e, won the 2017 Readings Prize for New Australian Fiction, and in 2018 he released his debut EP, \u003ci\u003eShadow in the Dream\u003c\/i\u003e. He is currently based in Albany, Western Australia.\u003cb\u003e Madelaine Dickie\u003c\/b\u003e has been writing since she was seven. Her first novel, \u003ci\u003eTroppo\u003c\/i\u003e, was published by Fremantle Press in 2016. It won the City of Fremantle T.A.G. Hungerford Award and was shortlisted for the Dobbie Literary Award and Barbara Jefferis Award. \u003cb\u003eJake Sandtner\u003c\/b\u003e is currently completing a PhD at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. Jake spends his day job in marketing and design. \u003cb\u003eMark Smith \u003c\/b\u003elives on Victoria's west coast and has surfed for 45 years. His debut novel, \u003ci\u003eThe Road to Winter\u003c\/i\u003e (2016), was shortlisted for multiple awards and is taught in schools around Australia. The sequel, \u003ci\u003eWilder Country\u003c\/i\u003e (2017), won the 2018 Australian Indie Book Award for YA. The third book in the trilogy, \u003ci\u003e Land of Fences\u003c\/i\u003e, was published in 2019. Mark is also an award-winning writer of short fiction, with credits including the Josephine Ulrick Literature Prize and the Alan Marshall Short Story Prize. \u003cb\u003eSally Breen\u003c\/b\u003e lives on Queensland's Gold Coast. Her work has appeared widely in national and international journals and anthologies such as \u003ci\u003eAsia Literary Review, Meanjin, Open Road Review, The Age, The Best Australian Stories, Review of Australian Fiction, The Guardian UK, Verandah, Overland, The Australian, Hemingway Shorts, \u003c\/i\u003eand \u003ci\u003eGriffith Review\u003c\/i\u003e. Sally is the author of\u003ci\u003e The Casuals\u003c\/i\u003e (2011) and \u003ci\u003eAtomic City \u003c\/i\u003e(2013), which was shortlisted for the Queensland Literary Awards People's Choice Book of the Year in 2014. \u003cb\u003eEmily Brugman\u003c\/b\u003e currently lives in Mullumbimby, and works at Byron Writers Festival.
