El doctor Jeff Karp es profesor e investigador de ingeniería biomédica en la facultad de Medicina de Harvard y el MIT. Le diagnosticaron dificultades en el aprendizaje a una edad muy temprana y poco a poco desarrolló una serie de estrategias mentales para sacar provecho de sus particulares patrones de comportamiento y de pensamiento, que más tarde evolucionarían hasta convertirse en las herramientas para activar la energía de su cerebro que actualmente utiliza en su trabajo. Karp ha publicado más de un centenar de artículos en revistas especializadas, cuenta con más de cien patentes y ha recibido más de cincuenta premios y reconocimientos.
