Little Storm came to Cora Phenix shortly after she gave birth to their first daughter, Rhea. She was lying in bed one night, sleep-deprived, trying to get some rest. Next thing she remembers was these verses ringing loud and clear in her head: "Little Cloud and Little Storm / Met one day when it was warm." She jumped up, picked up her phone from her dresser, and wrote them down. The next morning, she looked at them, and in less than an hour, she wrote the entire thing.
