Known as The Dog Lady, Toby Dorr started Safe Harbor, a prison dog program that helped inmates develop compassion and responsibility. Once trained, the well-adjusted dogs were offered to local families for adoption. Following her time in prison, Dorr set out on a new mission to help women escape their emotional prisons and rebuild their lives. Through workbooks and programs known as the Unleashed Series, Dorr profiles stories of amazing women from history as well as women in local communities who have spent time in prison and are now making a difference in the world. Dorr uses these examples to encourage participants to examine their own lives, let go of limiting beliefs, live in gratitude, and expand their horizons.
