Oh, the teenage years. A time to encounter new wonders, experience new things, and believe we "have it all." In a way, these years reflect how new Christians act. It is an exciting time to experience a whole new way of living and learn more about the Trinity, but just because one has been saved doesn't mean they "have it all."
"But everybody's doing it!"

Much like a teenager, Christians can fall back on these and more familiar retorts as the younger generations' culture has, in many ways, been allowed inside our congregations, causing believers to ignore or excuse their behaviors. What needs to be addressed are the many blind spots people in the modern Western church display, which Michael Crandall aims to explore in Look in, Look out: The Prodigal Teen Inside us all.
By cleverly focusing on the prodigal son scenario, yet using teenage attitudes as a template, Crandall helps readers understand how believers are often unaware of the way they approach their relationship with God the Father. Each chapter exposes specific attitudes toward circumstances we all face that mirror how a teen would behave, then offers encouragement for believers to examine and recognize their current condition before adjusting their priorities. Doing so will help awaken the spirit and mind and lead to a more fruitful life that draws others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Michael Crandall has been involved in high school ministry for over twenty-five years and has served as a youth pastor for fifteen years. He writes music, plays guitar, bass guitar, piano, and ukelele, and is currently working on his third album.
