A partir de este hecho verídico y aterrador cobra forma esta novela que recupera el suceso y lo reinventa en voz de un sólo narrador que muta en ópticas distintas, recurriendo a personajes reales e inventados, a verdades más simbólicas que históricas, a preguntas más que a respuestas en torno a ese sueño fallido que fue Jonestown.
Narrada como si fuera una liturgia, un trance o una pesadilla, en esta novela los personajes parecen atrapados para siempre en ese instante terrible y circular en el que lo real se confunde con lo ficticio, lo sólido con lo fantasmal y la condena con la redención.

On November 18, 1978, more than nine hundred members of the Peoples Temple church died in a rural complex in a remote location in the Guyanese jungle, following their leader, Reverend Jim Jones.
Based on this true and terrifying event, this novel recovers the story and reinvents it through the voice of a single narrator who shifts between different perspectives drawing on real and fictional characters, on truths that are more symbolic than historical, and on questions rather than answers about the failed dream that was Jonestown.
Narrated as if it were a liturgy, a trance, or a nightmare, in this novel the characters seem forever trapped in that terrible, circular moment in which reality is confused with fiction, the solid with the ghostly, and condemnation with redemption.
