Shanti Edwards is the winner of the 2025 Next Bestseller Book Competition in Maryland. A proud Prince George's County native, she is a romance author whose stories celebrate the warmth, rhythm, and depth of Black love. By day, she works as a lawyer, and by night, she writes heartfelt, emotionally rich romances for readers who believe that love can be layered, nonlinear, and deeply felt.
When she is not writing, Shanti enjoys salsa dancing, curating R&B playlists for loved ones, and analyzing reality television dating shows.
