Laverne Thomas is a 32-year old, wife and mother of two from Chicago. Born number 5 in a family of 9 children, she learned early on that family was important and something that she wanted for herself. After witnessing her parent's love for each other, the strength and support of a husband was always a desire to have. When she married her husband Daniel, her dreams were finally coming to life. Now, being together 8 years and married for 3 years, she has learned a few things about what it really means to be committed to love. Although having only been married for a few years, she quickly learned that married life was very different from the dating relationship. Various dynamics within her personal, professional and spiritual life caused her to look at things very differently. She experienced pain, frustration and disappointment within different areas of her life from diverse situations. Instead of allowing those pressures of life to hinder her, she found her peace and strength through starting two businesses and writing this book. Her online inspirational store for children, Lil Angel Tees, encourages positivity in youth. Her event planning business, Blissful Dream Occasions, delivers happiness to others through making their events become more than they ever dreamed. Lastly her book, LOVE ON FIRE, gives helpful tips to men and women struggling with maintaining their love for each other in the mist of life changes. Through her businesses, writings and future projects, Laverne Thomas will definitely continue to be a support and encouragement to others while helping herself.
