Maggie thought for a minute, "You can still be present, in the moment, with these feelings. It will be one of the hardest things you can do. But the sting of me going won't always be so hard. You'll look back on all of our love and smile again."
Luna and Maggie's Grand Adventures is a wonderful series of books that help to teach kids about complicated feelings and emotions. Maggie takes the reader on a journey about one of life's hardest and most complex emotions we can feel: grief. Maggie Teaches About Grief can help you and your child connect with and better understand feelings surrounding loss.
The series is written by therapist, Lauren Ramirez, who loves working with kids and families as they navigate through life's difficult storms. This book can be a helpful springboard to share heavy feelings, help to better understand the intricacies of grief, and inspire conversations within the family about loss. Grief is an emotion we cannot escape, but one that must be walked through. Maggie is a great teacher and walks with you every step.
