Help kids discover what Lutherans believe, why they worship the way they do, and what God's Word says about Jesus' love for them.
Why do we sin? Who is Jesus? What happens in Baptism? Why do Christians sing hymns, pray, and celebrate Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost?
Lutheranism 101 for Kids introduces elementary-age children to the foundations of the Lutheran faith through clear explanations, relatable examples, Scripture passages, and helpful definitions. Organized around three essential Lutheran resources, the Bible, Luther's Small Catechism, and the Lutheran Service Book, this engaging guide helps young readers understand both what Lutherans believe and why those beliefs matter.
Children will explore:
- God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- Sin, forgiveness, and salvation through Jesus Christ
- Baptism, Confession, and the Lord's Supper
- Prayer, faith, and the Christian life
- The Church Year, hymns, creeds, and worship
- Martin Luther and the history of the Lutheran Church
Special features, including "Word Alert!" definitions, Bible passages, and easy-to-understand explanations, make important theological concepts accessible for young learners. Practical examples connect big ideas to everyday life, helping children see how God's gifts of forgiveness, mercy, and love are for them.
Whether used at home, in Christian schools, or in church education programs, Lutheranism 101 for Kids provides a trusted introduction to Lutheran doctrine and worship while keeping the focus on the Good News of Jesus Christ. Young readers will come away with a deeper understanding of their faith and the confidence that Jesus died and rose again for them.
