Gustavo Rodríguez nació en Lima en 1968. Ha publicado las novelas La furia de Aquiles (2001), La risa de tu madre (2003), La semana tiene siete mujeres (2010), Cocinero en su tinta (2012), República de La Papaya (2016), Te escribí mañana (2016), Madrugada (Alfaguara, 2018) y Treinta kilómetros a la medianoche (2022), y el volumen de relatos Trece mentiras cortas (2006). También es autor de libros infantiles y juveniles que se leen en las escuelas, y de Machista con hijas (2021), basado en su pódcast homónimo, que ha tenido un marcado éxito en Iberoamérica. En Traducciones Peruanas (2008) se reúnen varios de sus artículos publicados en El Comercio. Su libro Cien cuyes se alzó con el Premio Alfaguara de novela 2023.
