Today, the work is subject, of course, to its ideological positioning but it continues to represent a key moment in political thought, and Karl Marx, the person primarily responsible for its writing, continues to be one of the most influential thinkers of his time. Many of the problems that are addressed in these pages have not yet been resolved and, instead, some of the solutions proposed are a part of any current society that considers itself civilized.
Author Biography
Friedrich Engels (in Spanish sometimes translated as Federico Engels in other Hispanic countries) Barmen-Elberfeld, Prussia; November 28th 1820-London; August 1895) He was a German philosopher, political scientist, sociologist, historian, journalist, revolutionary and communist, as well as socialist theorist, friend and collaborator of Karl Marx. Engels said: "I always played the second violin next to Marx" Economist, philosopher, sociologist, journalist, intellectual and German communist politician of Jewish origin. In his vast and influential work he covers different fields of thought in philosophy, history, political science, sociology and economics. Along with Friedrich Engels, he is the father of scientific socialism, modern communism, Marxism, and historical materialism.
