Martina loves soccer and is thrilled when she gets to play on her school's soccer team. She's not so thrilled however, when, during her first game, she realizes the other players don't know how to play as a team and think girls aren't as good as boys.
Martina and her new soccer friends from the park decide to create their own team, the 'Fire Ants'. When they enter their first championship they meet Martina's school team. Will the Fire Ants show them how to play as a real team?
Author Biography
Susanna Isern has published over 100 books worldwide, translated into over a dozen languages. She has been awarded the Silver Medal in the 2013 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards and her Bogo the Fox Who Wanted Everything, published by NubeOcho, is a Junior Library Guild Selection. She works as children psychologist and writer.
Marta Moreno was born in Barcelona (Spain) and studied Illustration at l'Escola D'Art de Tarragona. She currently combines her work as an author and illustrator with teaching in small rural schools and her pupils are a great source of inspiration for her. She has published more than twenty books, some of which have been translated into numerous languages.
