Justin G. Schiller is a leading collector, rare book dealer, and authority on children's literature. Founder of Justin G. Schiller Ltd., the oldest specialist firm in antiquarian children's books in the United States, he has organized and contributed to numerous museum exhibitions and publications focused on illustrated books and literary history.
Dennis M. V. David is a collector, researcher, and expert in the conservation and appraisal of rare children's books. His work with historic materials and close study of Maurice Sendak's art have made him a respected figure in the field of illustration and book history.
The volume is edited by Leonard S. Marcus, an award-winning historian, critic, and one of the world's foremost authorities on children's literature. His writing, teaching, and scholarship have helped shape contemporary understanding of picture books and their creators.
