Growing pains, societal pressures, loneliness, grief--all these things make it hard to see the positive moments life offers. Maybe Today, a new collection of poetry from SK Williams, reflects on these difficulties but paves a path of light and love while doing so. Through inspiration from nature and gentle yet stirring words, Williams proves that becoming the healthiest, happiest version of ourselves is possible--and worth it. Sometimes we just need a little help finding it. Titled "Fall," "Winter," "Spring," and "Summer," each of the four sections of the book detail varying yet relatable life experiences. The main voice of the book is enhanced through the addition of annotations from a tender perspective of a trusted friend, representing the gentler, affirming perspective we all deserve to hear.Author Biography
S.K. Williams is the collaborative creation of a couple who reside in Bellingham, Washington. They met at the bookstore they both worked at and began to run the Instagram page @skwilliamspoetry together. They have cultivated a healthy relationship together and hope to connect with people and help them find the strength within their own vulnerability. The two of them have dealt with bullying, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, mental health, unhealthy relationships, and have dealt with those close to them struggling with substance abuse. Through these hardships, they've grown stronger and learned how to better love others as well as themselves.
