Paul Leon Samuels, a proud first-generation American, was born in South Bronx to Jewish refugees from the Russian pogroms. His early life's pain and challenges gave birth to poetry, writing, and public speaking. He is the author of Bipolar Missionary, Rainbow Kids, Suppose, and Where is Christmas? Paul also co-leads peer-to-peer support groups affiliated with the national organization Depression and Bipolar Alliance (dbsalliance.org).
Arlene Bridges Samuels hails from South Carolina, where her parents owned Universal Decorators, a professional parade float company. She is a multi-talented singer, accomplished writer, and weekly feature columnist for The Christian Broadcasting Network Israel. Arlene's past advocacy includes refugee work, Mercy Ships, and youth ministry.

Author Biography
Paul Leon Samuels is the son of Jewish refugees from the Russian pogroms under the Czar. Born in South Bronx, he is a proud first-generation American. The pain of his early life has given birth to his creative writing through poetry and books, as well as public speaking. He has traveled extensively with World Vision, Mercy Ships, Messianic Jewish Alliance of America, and Youth With A Mission. Paul is a co-facilitator for peer-to-peer support groups, affiliated with the national Depression Bipolar Support Alliance. Arlene Bridges Samuels grew up in Florence, South Carolina, graduated from Winthrop University, and earned her master's degree at the University of Alabama. A former inner-city schoolteacher and professional folk singer, she served with Mercy Ships and later worked for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and International Christian Embassy Jerusalem US. Arlene is now an author at The Blogs-Times of Israel and writes the weekly feature column for The Christian Broadcasting Network Israel. Often traveling to Israel, by invitation she attends Israel's Christian Media Summits.
