Surprising discoveries will unfold as you connect the true meaning of each Hebrew name with its prophetic significance and fulfillment in Scripture. The hidden Hebrew meanings underlying the names of New Testament people are also brought to light. Prerequisites: A basic working knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet is very helpful, but not absolutely necessary; transliterations (pronunciations) are provided throughout. Completion of Messiah's Alphabet Books 1 and 2 may be helpful in absorbing some of the more technical details of Hebrew pronunciation and etymology but is not required. Explorations and exercises are provided along with answer keys located within the text. Free audio files of every lesson are available online.
Author Biography
Jim Cummins has served as teacher, pastor, evangelist and ministry planter in a variety of denominational and non-denominational settings for more than 40 years. For at least 20 of those years, Jim has been used by the Lord to plant and lead Messianic congregations - places where Jews and non-Jews who believe in Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah and Savior worship and serve the Lord together. Throughout his years in ministry, Jim has taught Biblical Hebrew and Greek to small groups. This teaching experience determined the content and approach of this book. Lisa Cummins' ten years of experience in middle, high school and community college teaching inspired this book's friendly, workbook-style format, which she designed and typeset. She has served in both traditional Christian and Messianic settings for more than 25 years.
