Teenage mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction and eating disorders are at an all-time high. With shopping, entertainment, technology and media available 24 hours a day, we have lost our natural rhythms and our life balance.
Mindfulness in Schools teaches students how to re-discover the good life, slow down, experience the moment, listen to their dreams and enjoy whole-hearted connections.
This evidence-based, cross-curricular mindfulness and self-regulation program was piloted in the Public School System and launched in the Mi'kmaw First Nations School Board. With contributions from internationally renowned leaders in mindfulness, this manual contains a vast range of culturally-diverse tools to help students:
