This is a guitar instruction book that is a definitive look at how to play all 7 modes on the guitar. Learn just 7 scale patterns and play all of the modes across the whole neck of the guitar! Tim Scullion is a multi-instrumentalist whose first love is the guitar. He has played just about every style of music from small nightclubs to large arenas. His playing has received accolades from former Steely Dan guitarist and studio great Elliot Randal. He has written and produced several CDs that are available for download on sites such as Amazon. He is a published author and photographer (timscullionphotography.com) and has a master's degree in education from the College of William and Mary. He wrote this book as a definitive approach to modal playing for his advanced students because he could find nothing that explained mastering modal improvisation on the guitar that did not require a degree in music to understand. He has taken the complexity out of the equation so that guitar students that are fairly new to comprehending the structure of music can easily learn the modes and how and when to play them. This book will fill that niche for up-and-coming lead guitarists who want to take their playing to the next level.
