They had limited US distribution from 2000 to 2010 solely through the American direct-marketing book club arm of a Norwegian publisher (Pony, a division of Stabenfeldt). Breakaway Books will publish Hughes' titles for North American general trade distribution for the first time.

Jenny Hughes is a British writer living in Dorset. She has published sixteen horse novels for young adults, which have been published in eight countries. Jenny's books are based on her experience working at a farm, at a riding school, and with polo ponies; but most of all they spring from her deep love of horses and the joy of sharing her life with such amazing beings.
