Armstrong Stewart, like all teen-aged boys, should have listened to his mother.
She'd warned him all his life that going Trick-or-Treating on Halloween would lead to danger, terror and the revelation of family secrets that would forever alter both their lives.
Nasty business all around.
But he just couldn't leave well enough alone.
Now the portals separating the Human Realm and Monster Realm have been breached. And the future of all humankind - and monsterkind - hinges on the Keepers of the Gate, a ragtag group of bickering half-monsters who must stop the tyrannical dark Lord Talabar from amassing enough power to enslave them all.
Whether the Keepers succeed or fail is now in the hands of their newest member:
Armstrong Stewart.
