Additional information
by Andrew Krauss (Author)
Does the Advent season seem to rush by rather quickly? Does it feel like an early coming of Christmas? For readers who love the season of Advent but wish to look deeper into the real distinctiveness of this rich season, then this is the book. It encourages readers to take time, even outside of the season itself, to reflect on the relevance of Advent for the whole of the church year. Advent is an intensely rich and compact season, with a great number of distinctive yet associated themes. Through a series of twenty-four short reflections on many of these themes, Motioning the Way invites readers to consider the connections between them and grounds them in relation to the core meaning of the word Advent--God's "coming toward" us. It is written from the perspective of a priest, theologian, and preacher who has found a deep intrigue for the Advent season in particular--an intrigue noted by others who encouraged him to share this with a wider audience.
