Mouse Turds on Granny's Pillow is a fictionalized story inspired by a real event with the author's family. Cherie's grandmother, who prided herself on keeping a clean house, one day woke up to mouse turds on her pillow, which meant that at some point in the night the mouse had come into her room and crawled up on her bed.
While her grandmother was horrified, Cherie could imagine the mouse sneaking in to get warm and snuggling up with her grandmother, nightcap on and happily content to share Granny's warm bed.

In this book, Margaret the Mouse sneaks into Granny's house to get warm and also because the smell of Granny's homemade apple pie with cheese on top is too delicious to resist. What transpires is a story about friendship and compromise, with some silliness thrown in for good measure.
