Jan M. Leotti's mini collection of her previously published short stories explores the challenges and triumphs of being a young girl. Grappling with loss, growing up, and new-found sexuality, each character finds her way through moments of heartbreak and beauty. A family Christmas dinner, a bleak snow-covered graveyard, a magic show, and a sexy, unreachable mother, are the worlds wherein each character reveals her strength and finds her own truth.
Leotti's mini collection of short stories and vignettes can be read by both young adults and adults.
Author Biography
Jan M. Leotti combines fantasy, paranormal, romance and literary genres into her writing. Her novels and short stories can be enjoyed by both adults and young adults. She was born and raised in New York and loves walking and jogging near her favorite beach where, most days, crows ask her for peanuts as she passes beneath their pine tree (she always obliges). She loves reading all types of books from bestsellers to obscure sellers while sipping hot cocoa (she is constantly exploring new hot chocolate recipes). Her short stories have appeared in several literary magazines, and her first YA vampire novel, Close To Dark, is forthcoming. She's currently hard at work on her second novel.
