His research focuses on children and young people living with long-term sickness and disability, as well as medical praxis in health care and emerging new biomedical technologies. \u003cb\u003eRachel Irwin\u003c\/b\u003e is a researcher at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences, Lund University. She has a PhD in social anthropology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
