Nigel Grant is a down-on-his-luck American, suffering from long COVID, hoping to just make it through another day. An opportunity to speak at the prestigious Royal College of Defence Studies in London, England offers Nigel the chance of a lifetime. Evidently, his prior experience at Face Value Corporation still has merit in the world of facial recognition, although his past as a super recognizer does come with some baggage.
An unexpected encounter with an old business friend lands Nigel amid the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show, where glamour collides with danger. A murder rocks the spectacle, and Nigel learns that the victim had been assigned by the head of MI6 to identify a bomb threat targeting the show. The investigation spirals as secrets surface: is Clare, his ex-girlfriend, somehow tied to the crime? Might Nigel's old pal Brad be implicated, or is there something deeper at play?
