The book describes a return to the autonomous competence of the soul and to liberated music therapy by analysing the effects of 25 sessions. From hour to hour, it is shown how the psychic events from the life of a 44-year-old woman develop in the favoured materials - sound production, everyday episodes, dream memories - and at the same time seek to develop further. The experience of cultivation is brought into the light in the impact analysis and brought into dialogue with the cultural-psychological moments of the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. In this way, its "private" reversals and misalignments are cancelled out in a general cultural context. The fairytale image can also be related to the new situation of a liberating music therapy.
Author Biography
Dr. Frank G. Grootaers, geb. am 28.11.1943 in Leuven (Belgien), hat von 1981 bis 2008 als Dipl.-Musiktherapeut in einem Krankenhaus für psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie
(Bad Honnef) gearbeitet. Promotion (rer.sc.mus.) 2001, Hamburg.Studien der Philosophie von 2007 bis 2013 am Philosophischen Institut der Rheinische-Friedrich- Wilhelm-Universität, Bonn.
Seit 2009 ist er freiberuflich als Therapeut, Berater und Supervisor in seiner Praxis für Musiktherapie tätig. Zeitgleich gründete er das Atelier für Kulturmorphologie.
