PRIX PREMIER ROMAN 2019 She just moved into the building with her boyfriend, they plan to get married in June. He lives with his wife and his little daughter along the same staircase. A ray of autumnal sunlight illuminates the lobby when they first pass each other. Just one look is enough for everything to tilt, for their worlds to collapse. They should not feel desire for each other, nor should they succumb to the hunger of love, much less meet secretly, or kiss passionately, or love each other madly. Yet that's what they do. Exactly that and much more. There will be no way to control the whirlwind of emotions that pushes you over the precipice. They will deceive the world around them, just to spend more time together, but at what cost?
