Author Biography
Dazz Jackson began writing poetry after he discovered the tremendous works of Langston Hughes, and James Baldwin. These two great poets, with their mastery of painting pictures with words, inspired him to put pen to paper at a very young age. In the beginning, he wrote poems about the color of the sky to the little girl down the street whom he had a serious crush on. Nothing was off limits, if it moved him, he wrote about it. Admittedly, those early works were a confused bundle of thoughts and fantasy that he tried to mend with string made of impreciseness and chaos. However he never figured he could write with the skill of Mr. Baldwin or the passion of Mr. Hughes, therefore he tried to duplicate their voices, however with my words. This was a mistake that he discovered once he started living his life...his way. Baldwin and Hughes were from a different time that had a different rhythm to life. This rhythm affected them and their work, which in turn made it impossible for Dazz to duplicate because the rhythms that moved him was completely different than what those two men experienced. Dazz had to find my own unique voice, and that voice is...Naked Images.
