Nicole Pfister was born in Atmore, Alabama-a small, culturally rich farming town nestled near the Creek Indian Reservation. Raised in poverty and surrounded by generational hardship, Nicole defied the odds to build a successful career in human resources. She was inspired to write Never Meant to Fit In during a flight to Atlanta early in her HR journey. Reflecting on how far she had come, she felt a deep calling to share her story-not because it was unique, but because it was layered, complicated, and ultimately encouraging. Nicole hopes her words inspire others to rise above limitations, embrace their roots, and walk boldly into purpose. When she's not writing or working, she enjoys hiking, reading inspirational books, and spending time with her family.
