When Sandra's youngest was born, she had four children under seven years old. One daughter was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, and her son was born with a rare disease that required intravenous feeding for over twenty years, and eventually a four-organ transplant. Her son's positive attitude has helped him become the compassionate pharmacist that he is today, enabling him to help others.
Sandra and Wayne always wanted all their children to be independent, and they devoted their lives to accomplishing that goal.
