It is also written for those who want to help, but feel they will be taken advantage of.
There are people who have grown up with someone with this disorder and have been adversely affected in their personal growth and development. There are those too that become instantly addicted to drugs and alcohol based on their psychological per-disposition. This disorder has both a violator as well as a victim. Some people go their whole lives wondering how to get past the baggage put on them from an abusive relationship from someone with this disorder.
Wouldn't it be nice to read a book and then to know how a loved one is using you, or intends to use you?
