OMNIPRESENT: Building an AI with Soul is a nonfiction exploration of designing and building a locally hosted, agentic artificial intelligence system that emphasizes memory, reasoning, and intentional action.
Blending memoir, technical architecture, and philosophical inquiry, author Clint Barrett documents the creation of T.U.E.S.D.A.Y., a cognitive AI framework built outside the cloud and beyond the limitations of conventional chatbots. Rather than focusing on prompts or surface-level automation, the book explores the deeper mechanics of agency: memory systems, control loops, arbitration, embodiment, and presence.
Through practical examples and candid lessons learned, Omnipresent examines why most AI systems fail to act reliably, how large language models differ from true agents, and what it takes to design systems that can reason, adapt, and persist over time. The narrative balances technical clarity with human perspective, making complex concepts accessible without oversimplification.
Written for builders, technologists, and curious readers interested in the future of human-AI collaboration, Omnipresent offers both a blueprint and a reflection on what emerges when code stops merely responding-and begins to relate.
This is not a book about artificial intelligence as a product, but as a presence.
