Our Primal 5: The Simple 5-Week Guide to Self-Care
Modern life demands more from us than ever - yet the human nervous system still depends on the same basic biological inputs it always has.
After years of clinical work, psychologist Dr. Matthew Campbell observed a consistent pattern: many people struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, low motivation, and reduced performance weren't fundamentally broken - they were biologically depleted.
Our Primal 5 introduces a clear, structured framework built around five foundational pillars that influence mental clarity, emotional regulation, physical energy, and sustainable performance:
- Sleep
- Sunlight
- Movement
- Connection
- Intentional Consumption (what we take in physically and mentally)
Rather than focusing on motivation or mindset alone, this five-week guided workbook helps readers rebuild the biological foundation that supports resilience, cognitive capacity, and emotional steadiness.
Each section includes:
- Practical, research-informed explanations
- Simple behavioral targets
- Daily tracking tools
- Reflection prompts
The method is straightforward: strengthen the foundation, and change becomes more sustainable.
Designed for individuals seeking a reset, professionals supporting clients, and organizations investing in employee well-being, Our Primal 5 offers a practical framework that can be applied in everyday life, clinical settings, or workplace environments.
In a culture that pushes constant optimization, this book returns to what is essential.
You don't need a new identity.
You need a stronger foundation.
