Harvey Dorfman literally rose from a childhood sickbed to his place of world renown in the field of sports psychology. Here he recounts the early experiences that 'persuaded' his future years. Dorfman takes the reader along this journey to his initial experience as an educator. Author Biography
Harvey Dorfman has worked in education and psychology as a teacher, counselor, coach, and consultant. In 1999, Dorfman became a full-time consultant in sport psychology and staff development for the Scott Boras Corporation, an agency that represents professional baseball players. Harvey has also been a freelance journalist, his work having appeared in The New York Times, Boston Globe, Miami Herald and Los Angeles Times, among others. For eight years, while teaching in Vermont, he wrote a weekly column entitled Miscellany for the Rutland Herald. His Mind Game column appeared in PRO, a quarterly magazine for professional athletes. Dorfman lectures at major universities and for corporations on psychology, self-enhancement, management strategies, and leadership training.
