He has taught courses including electromechanical energy conversion, control systems, transmission lines, advance topics in power system, power system quality and reliability and high voltage power transmission at the undergraduate and graduate level. He is a life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education. He received the IETE Professor Bimal Bose Award in 2015 for his outstanding contributions to Power Electronics Applications in Power Systems. He is a senior member of IEEE and served as an Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy.
