Included in the book are detailed instructions on how to build your very own Giant Puppet Theatre. The plays are huge fun to perform and have a religious context often referring to religious events in the Bible. In the front of the book are guidance notes on how to perform the plays and how to get the best out of the children when doing so. The performing of plays from this book will help to keep the children as an active part of the church and who are engaged and connected with the congregation. All of the plays in this book have been tried and tested in front of a congregation with the adults always asking for more. The ideas for the plays have come from many Sunday School children that have attended St Catherine's Church, Preston-next-Faversham, Kent. The church they were performed at was a "High Church" therefore should be suitable for most styles of worship and all denominations. The plays cover the main celebration services during the Christian year like Christmas, Pentecost, Harvest etc. The instructions on how to make your own Puppet Theatre are step by step and have photographs at each stage of construction which should be easy to follow for anyone with basic DIY skills. We have had a lot of fun writing these plays, acting them out and the congregation always looks forward to when the children perform them - we hope you enjoy them too.
