In support of interdisciplinary English and social studies curricula, librarians and teachers can easily assemble a basic list of books on a geographical place and time period. Geographical sections are divided into historical time periods within which entries are organized alphabetically by author.

LYNDA G. ADAMSON is author of A Reference Guide to Historical Fiction for Children and Young Adults (Greenwood Press, 1987). A Professor of English at Prince George's Community College in Maryland, she has taught children's literature for 15 of her 25 years of college teaching.
