Cristina Pérez is a powerful, unifying and trustworthy voice in the entertainment industry and community. Cristina is the three-time Emmy Award-winning television Judge on Cristina's Court (FOX) and Emmy-nominated Justice For All With Judge Cristina Perez (Entertainment Studios). She also is internationally renowned as the Judge on the second highest rated daytime Spanish language program in the U.S. La Corte de Familia (NBC/Telemundo). Cristina hosted "Judge Cristina Live @ 9" on KABC 790 AM (Los Angeles). According to a Syndicated Network Television Association survey, Cristina ranked as one of the most trustworthy and influential syndicated hosts on television, ranking second behind Oprah Winfrey among adults 18 to 34 years old.
As the first television judge ever to cross over from Spanish to English speaking television, Cristina has been inspiring fans of her courtroom television shows, radio shows, and books for over 15 years with her common sense and candid approach to help solve many of life's issues. Her message of finding strength in one's unique identity sets her apart from others. She has the ability to speak and create authentic connections with individuals from all and walks of life.
Cristina, the daughter of Colombian immigrants, and is uniquely able to blend her American pride, with a love for her heritage, without bias or a political agenda to deliver each inspiring message she delivers. She watched her parents struggle with racism, finances, and adapting to the U.S. culture with a foreign language. She learned to speak English around the age of 10 and mastered both languages. She credits her family's guidance and desire to remain close to their heritage and culture for her personal and professional achievements. Cristina crosses the cultural, language, generational, and political divide, speaking the language of common sense, common values, and common ground.
Cristina brings a fresh and rare way of connecting with people. In addition, Cristina has served as a columnist for national magazines and Internet-based publications and blogs.
Cristina was named as one of "America's Ten Most Inspirational Women" by Siempre Mujer magazine (special introduction by Hillary Clinton). She was also selected as California's "Woman of the Year" for her community service and activities and was named one of "America's Top 10 Latina Advocates" for making the world a better place for women and Latino's rights, by the national magazine Latino Leaders.
Cristina is also a community leader and is committed to community service and awareness. She is an active member and leader of several community and legal organizations.
