The loss of a spouse just before or during retirement brings more than grief. It brings uncertainty, responsibility, and decisions that can carry lasting consequences at a time when clarity is hard to find. The life you planned together no longer exists in the same way, yet the practical realities of money, housing, income, and long-term security still demand your attention. Retire Widowed was written to guide you as you navigate the life that now lies ahead.
This book understands that financial decisions made after loss are never just financial. They are tied to memory, identity, safety, and the future you are now being asked to shape on your own. It does not push you forward. Instead, it offers steady guidance that respects both the emotional weight of widowhood and the importance of thoughtful planning.
Within these pages, you will find a grounded approach to navigating retirement after loss. One that allows space for grief while helping you regain clarity, confidence, and direction, and helps you face the required decisions, understand their long-term impact, and move through them thoughtfully rather than reactively. You are not starting over but moving forward with a life that has been profoundly altered.
If the loss of your spouse reshaped your retirement, Retire Widowed offers a way forward. Carefully. Thoughtfully. One decision at a time.
