Salt and Thyme: 50 Things I Didn't Fix is a memoir in fragments about the small moments that quietly become a life.
Set between Austin, Texas, and the seaside town of Nazaré, Portugal, these fifty Drift Notes, Tide Pools, and interludes capture the strange humor and quiet truths hidden in everyday living. They wander through kitchens, cafés, friendships, marriage, work, travel, grocery lists, conversations replayed long after they ended, and the endless collection of things we keep because letting go somehow feels harder than carrying them.
With wit, warmth, and an eye for the details most people overlook, Neesha Maria B. writes about people-pleasing, growing older, buying shoes that hurt, imagining versions of ourselves who never quite arrived, and discovering that many of the things we thought needed fixing were simply part of being human.
The pieces can be read in any order. Together they form the portrait of an ordinary life that is at once deeply personal and surprisingly familiar.
If you've ever packed too much for a weekend, rehearsed a conversation that never happened, bought something for the person you hoped to become, or wondered why a drawer still sticks after all these years, you'll recognize yourself here.
Funny, honest, and quietly moving, Salt and Thyme is a celebration of imperfect lives, lived one small moment at a time.
