Roots will be similar based on Sarvadhatuka or Ardhadhatuka Affixes. For Sarvadhatuka Tenses and Moods, लट् लङ् लोट् विधिलिङ् the Gana Vikarana will change the conjugation process. Hence Similar Roots will only be within the same Gana 1c - 10c.
The Conjugation process is identical for लङ् based on
- Consonant beginning Roots final इक् or penultimate short इक्
- Vowel beginning Roots with final इक् or penultimate short इक्
