Born in Indonesia of French parents, Sophie Masson came to Australia at the age of 5. A bilingual French and English speaker, Sophie has had more than 70 novels published in Australia and internationally, mostly for young adults and children. Her books have been recognized by many literary awards, including the NSW Premier's Literary Awards, the Children's Book Council of Australia awards, the Aurealis Awards and the Davitt Awards. In 2019, Sophie was awarded an AM in the Order of Australia for her significant service to literature.
Shiloh Gordon has a passion for creating lively, engaging illustrations that are full of character and fun. He graduated with a BA in animation from the Queensland College of Art and has worked as a professional illustrator for over 20 years. His work has included illustrations for magazines, eBooks and educational materials. This is his first picture book. Shiloh lives in Brisbane with his wife and three kids, who are an endless source of fun and inspiration.
