Catherine Ciocchi is a science teacher in New York's beautiful Hudson Valley. She is the author of other published works including a picture book, poetry and short stories, and enjoys blending her love of science with writing in verse. Burgen Thorne works with Chantelle Thorne as part of an internationally-published illustration team specializing in children's books.
