A FRESH LOOK AT WHAT CAUSES THE IDIOPATHIC FUNCTIONAL SCOLIOSIS AND HOME EXERCISES TO STOP THE PROGRESSION OF THE ABNORMAL SPINAL CURVE AND EVEN REVERSE IT BACK TO NORMAL . IT IS THE HOPE TO EVERY MOTHERS ANGUISH FOR HER CHILDS CROOKED SPINE . TAMING THE ABNORMAL DANGEROUS CURVES WITH HOME EXERCISES FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE DIAGNOSED WITH SCOLIOSIS, TO STOP THE PROGRESSION OF THE ABNORMAL SPINAL CURVE AND GET A HEALTHY, FLEXIBLE STRONG SPINE. After years of studying, researching and observing spinal conditions especially the abnormal curves of the spine, scoliosis, kyphosis and lordosis, I found that many patients got spinal problems from lifting, carrying heavy objects, bad posture, sitting and working in awkward positions, or just slouching on their favorite sofa watching television.I used traction, taping, stretching, spinal supports and manipulation, trying to correct the abnormal curves.I observed the Adam's test on many normal and abnormal spines and I observed athletes that exercise every day to have strong, healthy spines without any abnormal spinal curves and a good posture that is the envy of many.I came to the conclusion that the best way to prevent and treat scoliosis is spinal exercises and the patient has to have the motivation, the will, desire and determination to exercise daily.ONLY the patients can do the exercises, NOBODY else can do the exercises for them. I realize that many people do not have the time or expense to go to the gym every day or to buy expensive equipment to use in their homes.So I combined the observation of the Adams test that a functional scoliosis straightens when the patient bends forwards, and similar exercises that professional do daily to have healthy, strong spines with no abnormal spinal curves to design the SPINAL ACTIVE FLEXION EXERCISES (S.A.F.E.)The exercises are simple and easy to do in the privacy of their homes in their own bed, without any equipment.No need to go to the gym or any excuse of no time to exercise.All they have to do is do the exercises daily and their spine and posture will thank them .S.ELIA
