Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder typically develops after a horrifying ordeal that has involved the threat of physical harm or physical harm itself. It can affect a person who was harmed or a person who may have witnessed a harmful event that has happened to a loved one or stranger. There are approximately 44.7 million people who were or who are struggling with PTSD.
Spring, summer, fall, and winter; these are the seasons of time. The breathtaking view of new flowers, the warmth of the sun, the smell of bonfires, and the freshness of the first snowfall all have some sort of significant meaning to all of us. There are also seasons of the soul. These are the seasons where we begin, where we stand still, and where we chose whether we take a path or set out on a journey. Paths lead us in all directions, some straight and sure, some narrow and winding, some rocky and treacherous. Journeys bring us the experiences of life and mold us into who or what we become.
Army Veteran and Former Law Enforcement Officer, Sheri J. Michel works towards overcoming personal boundaries and traumas she has witnessed.
