The Darkness within is only as strong as the Light allows.
After their daring and dangerous escape from Madra's clutches left no one unscathed, Josen and Aliyah are determined more than ever to save Kaino and defeat Darkness once and for all. When a note written by Josen's late father points to Alenth as the key, Reina is given one last opportunity to prove herself worthy of being a Ringada. She will do anything to rescue Kaino-even travel through the desert to plead for access to the Citadel's renowned Catacombs of Knowledge.
But when Josen and Aliyah accept an invitation from the Queen of Alenth to join Reina, it is just the opportunity Madra has been waiting for. She is in need of a new commander for her army of grarg, and who better than the one grarg not in her control? Will Kaino manage to hold on to the Light, or will Darkness consume him and those he loves?
Fates will be determined and secrets uncovered in this third chapter of The Vendi Chronicles.
