The length of my season of singleness is preparatory; it is a time to become the sort of person from whom marriage is about a Kingdom-focused partnership, for whom marriage is not a necessity to a happy life, and for whom marriage is about sharpening and giving and delighting in the otherness of others. And if marriage does not happen, I will not regret accepting Jesus' invitation to fall more deeply in love with him!
