Along the way, he faces numerous trials and temptations, including a seductive lady who tries to lure him into breaking his vow of chastity. Ultimately, Sir Gawain learns the value of honesty, courage, and humility, and discovers the true meaning of chivalry.The poem is written in Middle English and is considered one of the most important works of medieval literature.
