"Sophia and Alex Clean the House" is one of eleven volumes in the "Sophia and Alex" series, written by author Denise Bourgeois-Vance and illustrated by artist Damon Danielson. The storyline follows Sophia and Alex as they work with other family members to perform chores around the house. The children learn that cleaning can be fun and rewarding when the family works together. After chores are done, the family rewards themselves by attending a baseball game and cheering for Sophia and Alex's older brother, Noah.
The 32-page illustrated book shows family members taking responsibility for the home in which they live. Children take pride in completing a task. They gain a feeling of success seeing a job well done.
Each book in the "Sophia and Alex" series draws on storylines based on common events found in the life of an early learner.
